Spring Cleaning

Mommy & Daddy were gone for a few hours today - and it wasn't even a "work day"! There went to Mommy's office to paint & redecorate Mommy's office! Hmph! We coulda gone and helped, but they said something about us tracking through the paint!

Anyhow, Mommy did some de-cluttering & these two doxie items are now proudly displayed in our family room.

Doxie Marionette

This adorable marionette, crafted at a cute local shop called the Toy Factory, was given to me by a co-worker.

While doing some internet browsing, I discovered David King, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, an pawsome abstract artist. (he has an e-bay store too!). Here are but a few samples of his paintings of dachshunds!

Xena's 11th Birthday!!

This is Xena's 11th birthday week - she celebrates officially, this coming Friday!Even though she is the oldest in the pack, she has been with us the least amount of time.


As with all the kritter kids here, we adopted her through rescue - she was 7 1/2 yrs. old.

So, to Xena - our little warrior princess, Happy Birthday, Sweetie! We pray you are with us for many years to come!

Oskar trying out his new snuggle sack! Since Schatzi loves her snuggle bag, our friend stitched up a bag for Oskar! Xena's will be picked up in a day or two! Is there anything better than burrowing to the bottom of a soft, fuzzy sleeping sack?
