How Did This Happen?
I find myself buckled into this contraption!
Hmmm...hope we're not going in there!
Phew...just a drive-by the Humane Society!
Ok...can you guess where I was headed? Give you a hint....it starts with Dawgtor and ends with Condon!! Yep....back to the house of horrors!! Darn bacterial infection in my paw pitts has returned! I thought all my lickn' woulda helped...boy..was I wrong!
So...Mama thinks she can sneak pills into my kibble again...but I'm on to her! Oh wait....yummmm...that cheese whiz treat was delicious but tasted suspicious! She wouldn't try to slip it in there, would she? Naaaahhh-I'm too smart for her to try that!

Mama's birthday is today....we celebrated over the weekend! Look at the pawsome doxie cupcakes, made by a friend of our hooman sister & her boyfriend! And not only did they look delicious....they were scrumptous too!! (unfortunately, since we can;t have chocolate we didn't get to do a taste test!) But we did get a sampling of birthday cake!!!

Busy Weekend!
On Saturday we had a family portrait taken; it was a fundraiser for the PEI Humane Society. For $25 donation we had a professional photographer take our picture, with our homans....hope they put on their bestest smiles!
And today it was a beautiful, sunny day....since the sidewalks are free of snow, we got to go for a nice walk. It was wonderful to be out in the fresh air!
We're pretty tuckered out tonight, but enjoying a snuggle on Mama's heated blanket!

If I Didn't have Dachshunds
I could walk around the yard barefoot.
My house could be carpeted.
Surfaces, clothing, furniture, & vehicle would be free of hair.
When the doorbell rings, it wouldn't sound like a kennel& I could get to the door without wading through litlle long bodies who beat me there.
I could sit on the couch the way I wanted without taking into
consideration how much space several fur bodies would need to get comfortable.
I would not be on a first-name basis with 6 veterinarians, as I put their yet unborn grandkids through college.
The most used words in my vocabulary would not be: out, sit, down, come, no, stay, and leave it alone.
My house would not be cordoned off with baby gates.
I would not talk 'baby talk'
My house would not look like a day care, toys all over the floor.
My pockets would not contain poop bags & treats.
I would no longer have to spell W-A-L-K or T-R-E-A-T.
I would not have as many leaves inside my house as outside.
I would not look strangely at people who think having ONE dog ties them down too much.
I'd look forward to spring & the rain instead of dreading mud & dog poop season.
I would not have to answer the question... 'Why do you have so many dachshunds?' from people who will never have the joy of knowing they are loved unconditionally by someone as close to Angels as they will ever get.
How EMPTY my life would be!!!
