Our nephew, Benson has done graduated from obedience! Uncle Oskar & Aunt Schatzi are so very proud.



Now, we better get busy & "un-teach" him all those things he learned..can't have him showing us up, right?

Such Good News!!!

So, we got the results from Oskar's urine tests...and such great news...his levels are almost normal. I won't get into all the protein ratio, etc., but Dr. Condon was pleased & surprised at how well the medication is working on Oskar's kidneys...near normal levels!! Happy, happy, happy...

We will continue his meds, as they are working....and re-test in another six months! We are also going to cut back on Metacam....rather than give nightly...we will drop down to every other night & see if he is okay with that. (he takes it as a pain reliever & anti-inflammatory for his back). If he does well...and continues to show no signs of pain or discomfort...maybe sometime in the future he can stop taking it altogether (it can be hard on their stomach & kidneys). But we couldn't have him in pain...so we felt the risk was worth the reward.

For being 13 1/2 years old...Oskar is doing really, really great. With proper veterinary care & good care at home...is is thriving. Still a tad on the cranky side...but thriving!

And....bestest news of all...his Nani is coming to visit him!!

Back From the Vet....

And yep...they stole my pee...AND squeezed my bum!!! I don't know why they squeeze my bum...they must luv it our something'...I'm just saying'.

The results will be ready tomorrow...so keeping our paws crossed the ol' kidneys are working!! Otherwise, Oskar is doing really great...very strong hind end...and loving chillaxin' on the deck these nice days!!
