We Got New Toys!!

Since a certain someone has arrived, our once over flowing toy stash has been greatly depleted. So, Mama picked up a couple of new play toys...

Mouse Done Gone!!

Just as we were settling down for the night..we heard a trap snap! Dad went to investigate & sure enough...Mr. Mouse was caught...by his tail! He was attempting to get in behind the pellet stove, but the trap held tight & Dad was able to take him outside & release him!

So, bye-bye Mr.Mouse...now don't come back...next time you won't get a free pass!! Dad re-set the traps...just to make sure he was a lone ranger!!

Mama is now going to sleep much better!!

Mouse In The House!!

Who woulda thought with two dachshunds in the house that a mouse would survive more than a nano-second? Schatzi would have been all over it...

Last evening we were sitting in the family room...all snuggled in & quiet...when we heard a scraping sound coming from the corner! Just as Dad got up to investigate...what came running out...but a mouse!

We can't print what Mama screamed...but what did we...as dogs of prey, do? Absolutely nothing! We didn't even see it...or care for that matter!

Try as Dad might to trap Mr. Mouse...he scooted in behind the pellet stove...not to be seen again. Tonight the traps are set...hopefully he likes cheese & peanut butter.

Not to worry...we will be secured in our crates..and if Mr. Mousey wants to come in for a snuggle..that is just fine with us! But don't tell Mama...cause she wants him evicted...ASAP!

Spa Day!!

After talking at length with the grooming salon at Petsmart...Mama booked a spa appointment for Liesel. An early morning time was chosen, since Liesel is shy & the salon is very quiet at that time of day...so we were up & ready for our 8:00 a.m. check-in!

Specific instructions were discussed regarding trimming, bath, nails, & ears cleaned. Her body was not clipped, just her legs, paws, tail & hiney all trimmed up! Her coat, "stache" & face were given a good brushing during drying time.

Here she is...looking all fantastic & smelling yummy enuf to eat...

And she even gets a "Pawgress" report card...and she scored very well! Her groomer, Jess said after giving everything a good sniff-over...she was easy, peasy to groom! We'll book another appt. in 6-7 weeks time.

Queens County P.E.I.

Another winter storm is expected to affect the Maritimes this weekend! A low pressure system will track south of Nova Scotia on Sunday then slowly make its way eastward. Snow, strong northeast winds and blowing snow are all likely to begin over Prince Edward Island Sunday morning & continue during the day.

The long range forecast models are still uncertain. Keeping our paws crossed this goes south & misses us altogether!!

A New Month & The Sun Is Shining....

Happy March, eferbuddy!! We hope the sun is out where-ever you are! We had our "first official" walk today since January! (well..mostly Liesel & Mama..but Osk had his warm sweater on & sniffed & checked out a few "pee mails"). It's good to see Liesel more interested in investigating than paying any attention to the cars going by...she is not near "fraid" anymore...

And more good news....she graduated yesterday!! Whahoo!!! So proud of our girl...here she is...looking all smart & that!



And to celebrate her awesomeness....we celebrated with a tubby!! Now she is all smelling pretty & feeling like a princess...
