Goose, Goose - Duck!!
Party Prize!!
Confederation Bridge Reopens!
Traffic was moving again today on the Confederation Bridge (which connects PEI to New Brunswick.)
The bridge (which is 13 kilometeres long) had been closed to high-sided vehicles, buses, tractor trailers, etc., since early Friday morning because of high winds.
The restrictions were the longest period of time that crossings have been limited due to wind since the bridge opened in May 1997!
Late Saturday afternoon, winds in the Northumberland Strait were measuring 100 km/h, with gusts of up to 133 km/h.
A wiener could blow away in winds that high!! Thankfully, it has calmed down enuf for the kritterkins to enjoy a later afternoon walk!

A Wounded Warrior Princess
Xena had the remainder of her teeth extracted today; it was a valiant battle fought with on-going dental & veterinary care, but rather than risk her health, we made the right decision & she underwent a final dental surgery.
When Xena came to us four years ago, peridontal disease was extremely prevalent & she underwent surgery at that time, which resulted in 13 extractions. And for the last number of months, neither love nor money could have resulted in a different outcome or reverse the progression.
Thankfully, she is home & after a soft supper, a pee & pain medication she is resting comfortably. Her kibble is softened & mashed & mixed with canned food.
