Xena has inflammation in the right tear gland, so it was wise to visit our vet today. The issue is not the same as an inflamed third eyelid. Dr. Condon placed drops in the eye to freeze & examine it.
(Xena didn't mind this procedure at all; she was very accomodating.) Getting weighed was much more painful!!
Eye drops were prescribed, to be administered twice daily for the next 7-10 days & hopefully this will clear up the problem. If not, then surgery will be required (we hope this will not be the case).
Xena is snuggled up & sleeping soundly.
