Terrible Mishap on our Street

I was taking the dogs for their evening stroll & as we were passing by a house, a few doors down (they just moved to the neighbourhood) - when the front door opened - and down the stairs, across the lawn & right out into traffic - a little white dog came racing! (he/she saw our dogs) and was racing across the road to see us.

It was like...in that moment...time stopped. I started to yell, "No! No! No!", squeezed my eyes shut & heard the thump!! The owner, was there in two seconds, scooped up the dog & they took off for the Vet Emergency hospital. I heard the dog cry - so that's a good sign, right?

The driver stopped - poor woman - she was in tears; there was no way she could have seen the dog in time - he came out from behind three parked vehicles in the owner's driveway. I spoke to the owner's daughter, who is terribly upset - but I wanted to offer my support.

Please keep this little one in your prayers & hold your kritterkins a little closer tonight.
